Pakistani Mobile Number List

Wednesday, 21 July 2010

Mobile usage in Pakistan is growing rapidly, with most of the country covered by wireless networks. It is estimated that over 110 million people own mobile telephones in Pakistan, a number which is growing rapidly. In a poor nation of 150 million people, this is quite an accomplishment. Mobile networks in Pakistan include Telenor, Mobilink, Ufone, and Paktel. The mobile revolution began at the turn of the century with the launch of Mobilink, an Orascom subsidiary.
The classic 0300 number was quite popular in the early years with people proudly flaunting their Mobilink subscriptions. Businesses and private users alike flocked to Mobilink franchises to get in on the action. Young people in Pakistan have always been amongst the most prolific mobile phone users. According to popular convention, various mobile phone operators have had their own primary number prefixes. These are, however, changing with advanced usage and increasing combination in the industry.
The following is a list of the original mobile number prefixes:
Mobilink: 0300
Ufone: 0333
Warid: 0321
Paktel: 0313
Telenor: 0345
